Industrial Security Administrator
Serve as the Facility Security Officer and Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodian for the business unit. Author, implement and maintain local industrial security policies, manuals, procedures and work instructions. Responsible for researching, developing, implementing and managing the industrial security functions.
Ensure coordination, implementation and administration of Information Systems necessary to process classified information. Prepares and manages facility and security clearance applications, fingerprinting, reports and related correspondence. Establishes and maintains practical knowledge of JPAS, e-QIP, SIMS, ISFD, OBMS, NCAISS and NISS.
Interface with various contractors and subcontractors involving security related requirements such as DD254 agreements, visitor clearances, classified material, etc. Manages Key Management Personnel (KMP) filings and reports. Prepares for and represents the Company during internal/external audits and interfaces with all levels of the organization.
Prepare and manage required registrations, reports and related correspondence. Monitor operational activities and provides Industrial Security training for departments and employees. Maintain liaison and oversight for additional business unit locations.
Provide support and guidance to ensure consonance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Liaise between Kaman Corporation and United States Government regulatory agencies.
Provide technical guidance to program managers for inclusion of proper security measures in work scheduling, personnel assignments, contract performance and program testing schedules.
Receive, process, and control all Classified Information for the facility
Perform other duties as assigned. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Thorough knowledge of a professional or technical field of Industrial Security. Working knowledge of Industrial and/or Military Security requirements normally attained through specific security training; these include the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Operational Security (OPSEC) and Communications Security (COMSEC) requirements. Effective verbal and written communication skills, high degree of diplomacy, critical judgement, initiative, and ability to deal with complex factors required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required. Bachelors Degree in related field preferred.
3-5 years direct Industrial Security, Military Security or USG Security administration experience.Wide variety of duties involving general knowledge Security policies and procedures and their application to cases not previously covered. Duties require considerable judgment, the ability to work independently toward the general results of devising new methods, modifying or adapting standard procedures to meet new conditions. Must make decisions guided by NISPOM, OPSEC, and COMSEC precedence and company policy for Industrial Security.
