We have a new opportunity for a Intermediate/Senior Industrial Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for an Industrial Engineer who has an interest in business planning and implementation, developing client relationships, and designing light industrial facilities. Design work primarily involves functional planning, work flow and facility optimization, and facility layout.
Your Key Responsibilities
Multi-discipline design management of large, complex industrial facilities projects
Functional planning of industrial facilities including needs assessment, master planning, facility optimization and work flow optimization
Developing, tracking, updating, forecasting and modifying project schedules and budgets throughout all project phases.
Working with an integrated project delivery team which includes Industrial, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical and Process Engineers and Architects.
Business development and client relationship management
Development and implementation of sector strategic business plan(s).
Partnering with other business lines to explore opportunities and deliver projects
Coaching and supervising junior-level Engineers and EIT’s.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
Familiarity with integrated, collaborative industrial facility design processes.
Experience in multiple project delivery methods including design/build, integrated project delivery, P3, etc. is an asset.
Highly effective interpersonal communication skills and people management abilities.
Excellent ability to write clear and articulate reports.
Experience in discrete event simulation analysis is an asset.
Some project management and/or LEED® experience is an asset.
Professionally accredited degree in Engineering in support of a professional license is required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering with at least eight (8) years of experience in industrial facility planning, design and/or design management, preferably using Lean/IE principles or equivalent education and/or experience. LEED Green Associate or LEED AP, or other energy/sustainability credentials desirable. Registration or credentials to register as an Engineer in Ontario is required. Must be able to travel out of town for multiple days and must have a valid driver’s license.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
