We are seeking a skilled Industrial Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in Lean principles, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, automation, and robotics to join our dynamic team.
The Industrial Manufacturing Engineer will play a critical role in optimizing our aluminum extrusion and fabrication processes. The successful candidate will leverage Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and advanced automation and robotics to drive continuous improvement, enhance product quality, and increase operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiencies.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies or other quality related techniques to identify and solve complex manufacturing problems.
- Conduct value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and process optimization to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Automation and Robotics- Develop and implement automation and robotics solutions to enhance manufacturing processes in aluminum extrusion and fabrication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, program, and deploy automated systems.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve production efficiency and quality.
Process Optimization- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure they meet quality standards and production goals.
- Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and ergonomic assessments to improve workflow and reduce bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
Quality Assurance- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other relevant quality management systems.
- Implement statistical process control (SPC) and other quality control techniques to maintain product consistency.
- Lead efforts to address non-conformance reports (NCRs) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Technical Support and Training- Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams, maintenance staff, and production supervisors.
- Train employees on Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and the operation of automated systems and robotics.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field or related experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably in the aluminum extrusion and fabrication industry.
Skills- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
- Experience with automation and robotics in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using design and simulation software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
