Concerns and involves the synthesis and application of scientific principles to design, installation, and improvement of integrated systems of people, materials, information and equipment to provide the most efficient and effective manufacturing and operating work environment. Will engage in work systems measurement, methodology development and improvement of existing manufacturing methods and processes.
· Perform methods studies. · Perform production time studies and operation analysis. · Development of performance standards and measurement. · Design of facilities and layout of building. · Layout of machines and equipment. · Design and improvement of production methods and control systems. · Develop methods for controlling production costs and costs analysis. · Design tools and equipment. · Ergonomics/safety issues. · Maximize facility efficiency. · Productivity improvements. · Standards auditing. · Basic manufacturing operations and practices.
Bachelor of Science in one or more of: Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering required C++ or C#, or Java programming experience Experience with robots and/or servo mechanisms 5-10 years (was 3+) Experience with vision applications Strong proficiency in mathematics Has strong facilitation skills and ability to effectively communicate and present status, actions, recommendations, and other technical information with clarity and precision. Ability to respond to significant inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or marketing/sales teams Proficient with standard project management tools and practices Ability to establish and track performance to goals and objectives to complete complex or major projects, and provide direction to external team members toward project milestones Self-motivated creative thinker Flexible in event of sudden priority changes 3D modeling skills a plus
