SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for the recommending and use of Database Management system (Prod-Info). Providing solutions and possible recommended applications that focus on one source of truth. Providing proper methods in the manufacturing and support operations and maintaining accurate and equitable labor standards through the use of Industrial Engineering and Lean Concepts techniques. Makes recommendations and takes action in improvements in manufacturing equipment, processes, product flow, lead time reduction, work layouts that will reduce the cost of operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs the time and work sampling studies used to establish and maintain labor standards.
Maintains decision tables necessary to insure proper operation of the incentive system.
Uses Database queries and other computer programs to create reports that track and identify various labor and process measurable.
Administers the ProdInfo production process tracking program, insuring all necessary operations are available for the operators to report and track the production processes.
OTHER PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS:
Prepares labor quotes for Product Engineers and Cost Accounting for pricing of current products. Develops labor estimates on new products that previously have not been built.
Responsible for the proper application of the Incentive Program in assigned areas.
In conjunction with Process Engineering creates and maintains the documents that specify the required processes (DPTs) for all products being built.
Bachelor Degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering, Information & Operations Management or related fields with an emphasis on Data management, web-enable applications preferred.
Knowledge in the application of a broad range of Lean Manufacturing tools including Value Stream Mapping, Poka-Yoke, SMED, TPM, DMAIC and many others.
Knowledge of SQL and other database computer programs along with web based integration.
Experience in a manufacturing environment with Lean Manufacturing knowledge and/or experience preferred.
Works with Military specifications and related ITAR protected information.

Good communication and presentation skills in order to deal effectively with employees and managers at all levels.
Tech savvy with good problem solving and organization skills.
Advises and provides direction to manufacturing management and engineering management for purposes of reducing cost through of Lean Manufacturing principles and other improved manufacturing techniques.
