Join one of the fastest growing State and Local Tax (SALT) practices in the Pacific Northwest! The Andersen Tax SALT team serves clients from the Fortune 500 to venture-backed startups and their owners. We are seeking a new member of this multi-faceted team to focus on indirect tax consulting, indirect tax overpayment/underpayment reviews, and controversy.

Managers need extensive experience in state and local indirect tax issues including sales/use and gross receipts tax. Managers' responsibilities include: research and analyze state and local indirect tax legislation and apply to facts/data, manipulate client's raw data, effectively manage resources in order to complete the projects timely, prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently, assist in identifying client issues and opportunities, and communicate project status and client issues. In addition, Managers are expected to supervise, train, and develop staff.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree; CPA, licensed attorney, CMI, or other appropriate certification; Advanced degree such as Masters in Taxation or LLM preferred;
  • At least 4+ years of relevant work experience with an accounting firm, law firm, corporate, or government;
  • Proficient use of technology including MS Excel, Access, and/or other tax software; Detail-oriented, organized, team-oriented, and takes ownership of projects;
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Excellent problem solving, technical, and analytical skills;
  • Requires travel
