Independent Regional Manager is seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Rep to develop and grow an existing industrial packaging territory. We have a broad range of customers and the Sales Rep will be expected to service and expand our current distribution base in the assigned territory, and establish new distribution partners and sales opportunities. This will require frequent visits to customer offices and manufacturing plants to assess needs, evaluate equipment, and make recommendations. The Sales Rep will also prepare and present proposals to high level executives. Some overnight travel should be expected.
We do not require experience in the packaging industry, although it is a plus. Training will be provided by the product manufacturer. There will also be significant training and coaching from the Independent Regional Manager, who is highly regarded as an industry expert and provides ongoing training to both customers and sales reps across the country.

Our most successful Independent Sales Reps are self-motivated individuals who take great pride in their work and are willing to invest the time and energy to learn their product and their competitors, and stay up to date with industry trends. The Reps are subject matter experts for our products and services.
We are looking for someone who exudes confidence, but does not come across as arrogant; who is humble enough to admit when they do not have the answer, and knows when to ask for help. Having above average math skills is helpful.
Success in this industry will also depend on the ability to start the day early in the morning, prepared to meet with distribution and the end-user market. This is when they are most available. Although the schedule will need to start early, there will be flexibility to set appointments and hours.
The earning potential in this role is virtually unlimited as our products and services are required by almost every company that ships a product to any location. It is up to the Rep to work hard and develop the territory to make the most of it.
We are offering a generous base salary to assist in supporting the Sales Rep until sales and commissions reach the target set forth by the Regional Manager.
