Seeking an in-house counsel with up to 5 years of experience providing proactive, professional and practical legal advice and support to business and operating units in the U.S. across Business Units and Functional teams.
Supports Regional Chief Counsel in activities pertaining to devising and implementing both short and long term business strategy in a manner that meets legal and compliance requirements
Provides regional M&A support and supports regional leadership initiatives
Drafts and negotiates commercial agreements
Promotes a strong and robust compliance culture, reinforcing the Company’s Code of Ethics and supporting Guidelines and supports compliance training
Lead/Support compliance investigations
Supports U.S. real estate transactions
Strong communication skills and able to provide quality legal support in a simple, understandable and effective manner

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
Member in good standing of a US bar
Three to five years of relevant experience in legal support of transactions, corporate functions and compliance
Real Estate experience a plus
In house experience with a multinational chemical/oil and gas company a plus
Compliance experience a plus
