Description


The Implementation Consultant is the main point of contact for Benefitfocus clients during the onboarding process and is responsible for creating and managing project plans, gathering requirements, testing and delivery of requirements and weekly status updates for clients. The Implementation Consultant works directly with our Carrier client as well as their groups to ensure successful implementation and handoff into a production environment.  You will be working in a fun, engaging environment where every associate has the opportunity to participate in continuing education activities while staying current with the latest technology available.

  • Partner directly with Carrier partners, their groups, and internal resources to ensure a successful implementation and smooth handoff to Customer Success Managers and Production teams
  • Gathering requirements, configuration of groups onto the platform, scenario testing and providing feedback, and responsible for direct customer interaction to report on project status
  • Lead and project manage roughly 40-50 implementations at one time
  • Provide technical guidance to troubleshoot issues found during testing
  • Prioritize testing efforts based on Carrier client needs
  • Act as liaison/facilitator across technical and operational departments
  • Coordinate and identify project responsibilities and maintain project plan/timeline
  • Lead requirements gathering discussions and provide requirements documentation for external dissemination

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’sdegreerequired
  • 3 to 5 years’ professional experience working in a Project Management or Implementation role
  • Professional experienceworking with external clients in a team environment
  • Knowledge of benefit plans/structures is a plus
  • Able to write technical and operational process documents as needed
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction, collaboration and self-learning
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills required to carry out multiple projects on time
