Business Analytics & Insights

Builds and maintains internal analytics capability to support the US Genetic Diseases Franchise

  • Player/Coach that builds, develops, and leads a team of high performing analytics professionals
  • Leads a proactive and systematic approach to capturing and understanding stakeholder needs for standard and ad hoc analytics, reporting, and insights generation.
  • Leads a proactive and systematic approach to synthesizing various Franchise data sources and identifying insights.
  • Supports Finance driven sales forecasting process for US Immunology Franchise
  • Provides input and support to ensure Market Research drives quality business insights.
  • Leads a wide range of analytics projects and acts as primary point of contact for key business stakeholders
  • Leads US innovation for franchise analytics team
  • Initiates key questions for Genetic Diseases Franchise leadership
  • Communicates clear findings and recommends appropriate action to executive level Franchise leadership.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • BachelorDegree or equivalent in Health Sciences or related discipline / Business Administration.  
  • MBA/M.Sc./Pharm.D. an asset
  • Recommended 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry  3-5years of experience in advanced analytics
  • Experience in project management across a range of functions, seniority, and geography
  • Market Research, Forecasting, Business Development experiencepreferred

Complexity and Problem Solving

The candidate will design and implement primary and secondary research, either internally or choosing and managing appropriate external business partners; interpreting research results and recommendations, including presenting findings and strategic recommendations to all levels of management; oversight of syndicated data, analytics, competitive intelligence, promotional ROI, predictive modeling and market simulations. 

  • Proactively anticipates solutions

  • Decide when market research analytics are best performed to ensure the broader matrix team can make the best decisions
  • Provides implications to the business and forecasts around any major CI findings
  • Designs KPIs for the franchise and interprets brand performance for stakeholders
