Position Concept:

The Human Resources Manager oversees the day-to-day Human Resources function at Eckerd Connects and affiliated organizations. This position, along with the Director of Risk Management & Privacy, also oversees and liaisons with Eckerd Connects' Human Resources Outsourcing partner. Works closely with Operations staff to ensure Human Resources related needs in the field are met.

Essential Functions:

  • Human Resources Outsourcing Partner Oversight : Serve as organization's point of contact with outsourced Human Resources provider (HRO) to ensure performance meets the organization's needs.
  • In-House Human Resources Management : Oversee day-to-day operations of in-house Human Resources staff.
  • Employee Relations : Work with HRO and Eckerd Connects managers on higher-level employee relations matters. Provide/coordinate training for Eckerd Connects managers to reduce potential for ER matters and equip managers to handle them when they arise.
  • Performance Management : Manage Eckerd Connects' performance management process including annual goal-setting and reviews.
  • Recruiting/Onboarding : Work with Recruiter, Credentialing Specialists and Operations staff to ensure an effective and timely recruiting and onboarding process for all staff.
  • Wellness : Work with HRO and HR and Wellness Coordinator to oversee and maintain Eckerd Connects' Wellness Program.
  • Compliance : In conjunction with HRO, ensure Eckerd Connects' compliance with all local, state, federal, licensing and contractual requirements related to Human Resources.
  • Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance : In conjunction with operations staff and the HRO, oversee the ADA accommodations and leave administration.
  • Projects : Lead or project-manage Human Resources projects identified by the organization.

Position Specifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree, from an accredited College or University, required. Degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred. Human Resources certification preferred (e.g. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)

Experience: 5 years of progressive human resources experience required. 2 years of experience supervising preferred.

Physical Demands: Ability to sit at desk for long periods of time, with extended periods of computer work related to case activities and placements. Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.

Other: Must meet state criminal background check requirements.

Travel: Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd Connects' Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes. Maintain an appropriate and valid state driver's license. Travel may be up to 33% at times.
