RequirementsBachelors degreerequired. Masters degreepreferred. Minimum of 7 years professional level human resources experience, including managerial experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have union background. Relationship skills and influencing abilities. Strong leadership skills and results orientation. History of partnering to develop constructive solutions to business challenges.
This position reports to the Plant Manager with additional support from Corporate. HR Generalist responsibilities include: Lead training initiatives and needs assessments Talent Acquisition Leverage talent system in succession management . Foster cross training and rotational assignments. Facilitate the performance management program - develop HR Staff and work with managers on developing their staff. Facilitate safety and workers' compensation programs. Compliance/Affirmative Action Plan communication. Manage employee relations. Local administration of employee benefits programs. Develop/execute communication plan to disseminate information to plant employees. Ensure accurate and timely records processing (payroll and other HRIS information). Maintain positive labor relations. Manage budget for HR department Lead human resource team for location. Involvement in Operational efficiency leadership (Lean, Six Sigma) and other continuous improvement initiatives.
