The Human Resources Manager oversees the HR function for Canada and the UK and is responsible for partnering with key internal stakeholders and providing recommendations in support of HR initiatives and strategies. The HRM is responsible for establishing and maintaining a positive work environment, while driving process improvement, increasing productivity and overall efficiencies across the HR organization and the business.  The HRM’s contributions will be both operational and strategic.

Responsibilities

  • Business Partner: Establish a strong, proactive and flexible business relationship with all managers and employees to maximize their engagement, enablement and retention, as well as understand their challenges
  • Drive Employee Engagement:  Ensure positive interaction with employees, survey and measure the business effectiveness with the employee population, assist in the employee engagement process and reinforce the open door policy that ensures open and honest communication between managers and employees
  • Employee Relations: Provide advice and counsel to management and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices, coaching supervisors on disciplinary matters, and investigating and resolving employee relations issues
  • Compliance: Responsible for assuring that company policies and practices are compliant with local laws
  • Training: Support HR Director in designing, implementing, and conducting training curriculums
  • Development: Partner with senior management to create career and development plans for employees to ensure that employees are provided appropriate training opportunities to further personal, career, and organizational development
  • Change Agent: Actively drive change and participate in the implementation, deployment and communications of new HR programs and processes.  Act as a change agent and ambassador for the company’s Core Values
  • Process Improvement: Drive HR process improvement and simplification; ensure the continuous improvement and/or harmonization of the HR programs, policies and procedures, as well as the working conditions, by monitoring and analyzing various HR metrics, assessing current workflow and processes in order to identify opportunities for improvement and/or risks
  • CSR: Drive corporate social responsibility and outreach initiatives in order to build awareness around the TouchTunes and PlayNetwork brands  
  • Talent Management:  Manage and oversee the company-wide performance management program
  • Manage confidential documents by maintaining accurate and detailed historical employee files and records
  • Manage benefits administration and employee communications for insurances,  pension plans and other benefits
  • Oversee a biweekly payroll for 90 Canadian employees and monthly for 50 UK employees
  • Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process of new hires
  • Supervise a team of two: HR Coordinator and Office/HR Assistant

  Required Qualifications: 

  • University or College Degree in Human Resources Management 
  • 5+ years of related of HR management experience
  • CHRA designation
  • Must have solid experience in all facets of Human Resources; specifically coaching and mentoring leaders and executives 
  • Awareness and understanding of all applicable legislation in Quebec related to Human Resources Management (i.e. Employment Standards and Human Rights legislation)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Fluently bilingual (English / French)
