Title: Human Resources Manager
Location: Redmond, with occasional travel to Hopelink locations (greater Eastside & Kent)
Work schedule: Full Time, Hybrid: In-person with some remote schedule options
The career opportunity: TheHuman Resources Manager strengthens Hopelink's employee experience by ensuring consistent, equitable, and legally compliant HR practices across the organization. This role is responsible for conducting and supporting workplace investigations, facilitating performance management processes, coordinating Leaves of Absence (LOA), managing ADA accommodations, and guiding supervisors through complex people-related issues.
This position plays a critical role in partnering with leaders to foster a fair, respectful, and belonging-centered work environment. As part of the People Division, the HR Manager collaborates closely with the Director of HR, the Talent Acquisition Manager, HR Generalist, the Organizational Excellence team, and the Director of EDIA & Advocacy to uphold Hopelink's culture, values, and policies.

What qualities we are looking for:- 5+ years of professional HR experience with demonstrated expertise in employee relations, investigations, LOA administration, ADA accommodations, or HR compliance.
- Strong understanding of federal and Washington State employment laws (ADA, FMLA, PFML, WLAD, EEOC, etc.).
- Experience conducting investigations and/or managing complex employee relations matters.
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to navigate sensitive and confidential issues.
- Strong coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- High attention to detail; strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to balance empathetic support with organizational accountability.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, trauma-informed practices, and fostering a culture of belonging.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems; ADP WorkforceNow preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Reliable personal transportation to ensure ability to travel between Hopelink locations as needed
Examples of what you will be doing:Workplace Investigations & Employee Relations Support - Lead workplace investigations, including intake, interviews, documentation, fact-finding, and recommendations; maintain investigation logs, documentation, and reporting.
- Provide consultation to supervisors on employee relations issues, early intervention strategies, documentation standards, and conflict resolution.
Performance Management Consultation - Support supervisors in developing clear performance expectations and documentation.
- Guide managers through corrective action steps, including coaching, written documentation, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
Leaves of Absence (LOA) Administration- Administer and track all LOA processes including FMLA, PFML, unpaid leaves, and nonstandard leaves.
- Ensure employees and supervisors understand eligibility, timelines, responsibilities, and required documentation.
ADA Accommodations & the Interactive Process - Manage the interactive process for ADA accommodation requests in partnership with employees, supervisors, and HR leadership.
- Document requests, assessments, decisions, follow-up actions, and accommodation effectiveness.
- Provide education to supervisors on ADA responsibilities, essential job functions, and reasonable accommodations.
HR Compliance, Policy Implementation & Risk Reduction - Support development, updates, and implementation of HR policies, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist in preparing for compliance reviews, workplace safety assessments, and other regulatory activities.
Workplace Experience & Culture of Belonging Support - Support Hopelink's Culture of Belonging by ensuring employee experiences reflect fairness, clarity, and care.
- Collaborate with the Director of EDIA & Advocacy on integrating equity and trauma-informed practices into HR processes.
- Ensure communications, processes, and interactions reflect Hopelink's values and commitment to fostering a respectful workplace.
How you will be compensated: Hopelink is proud to provide meaningful paid time away from work and an affordable, comprehensive benefits package.
- Compensation: $90k - $110k annually DOE
- Up to 10 paid vacation and sick days annually and 10 paid holidays,
- Plus up to 7 paid float days available to use immediately; dependent on hire date and hours/week
