Introduction

Hearthside Foods is seeking a Human Resources Manager for its Gibson City location. This is a plant-based HR role. The HR Manager is responsible for leading all faucets of HR and Safety at a manufacturing facility with approximately 300 employees (salaried, and hourly along with temporaries). This role directly reports into the Plant Manager along with a dotted-line to Corporate HR.

This is a high-visibility role with considerable responsibilities requiring individuals capable of not only working in, but also leading in a team environment. Successful candidates, in addition to possessing a manufacturing Generalist HR background, should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving ability, conflict resolution skills, strong interpersonal skills and an ability to adapt to changing situations (fast and flexible). Again, leadership ability is an absolute must with this role.

Attributes for Success

Successful HR Managers should have 3 -- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing HR Generalist-type of role. Experience in both union and non-union environments is a plus. An HR or related four-year degree is preferred. Technology experience with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio and Word), Kronos, ADP EV5 and an Applicant Tracking System is a plus. An HRCI and/or SHRM HR certification is a plus. Multi-lingual ability (e.g. Spanish) is also a plus.
