Job Description

  • Function as the strategic HR partner to the leadership teams to support multiple locations
  • Partner with leaders to drive talent and performance management processes and solutions in both union and non-union work environment
  • Company liaison in matters involving collective bargaining, contract interpretation and dispute resolution
  • Manage the employment lifecycle from talent acquisition, onboarding, training and development, succession planning and off boarding
  • Lead the annual performance management process and work with managers to address employee and labor relations matters
  • Develop tools utilizing HR metrics to increase organizational effectiveness
  • Oversight for legal investigations, substantiation of claims and appropriate resolution
  • Provide leadership for employee health and wellness including review of initial treatment and assessment of work related injuries/illnesses, causation and prevention
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and established EEO and AA action plans

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a union environment, preferably 3+ years in Human Resources Management position
  • 2 years Supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of compensation strategy, performance management, employee relations, safety practices and talent acquisition, and the ability to apply this information in a manner that is compliant with relevant employment law
  • Change agent with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to drive continuous improvement and results
  • Strong organizational, leadership and follow through skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and demonstrated experience utilizing HRMS
  • Experience managing people in multiple locations
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
  • Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
