A fantastic opportunity has surfaced to join a HR team that closely partners with business leaders in order to grow our Texas region. The Human Resources Manager will play a highly visible role supporting our growth and ongoing development of talent and culture.  The individual in this role will be instrumental in the ideation and implementation of key HR programs, processes and approaches needed to support the Central Division and Flatiron organization.   

This position will have the opportunity to influence how we utilize and develop our talent, while also overseeing and being very hands-on with the day to day execution of HRresponsibilities.  The ideal candidate will serve as an internal talent consultant partnering with all levels of staff in order to produce business results.  Key areas of responsibility include:

Responsibilities

  • Partners as a hands-on, progressive Human Resources Business Partner who develops a thorough understanding of the business and ensures alignment of strategies and programs to the broader organizational goals.
  • Serves as a partner to leaders, line managers and employees to provide service and innovative support, with an emphasis in talent acquisition, compensation design and application, performance management, employee relations, management training/organizational development,
  • Provides hands-on support to employees and managers to better understand and utilize HR tools, processes and policies; maximizing organizational effectiveness and ensuring compliance.
  • Works alongside client groups to define workforce strategy and operational plans
  • Partners with departments to oversee goal setting, development planning, and performance appraisals
  • Administers processes, provide training, and monitor compliance
  • Enhances culture through employee discussions, exit interviews, manager feedback, employee survey results, turnover analysis, etc. while identifying opportunities to improve results
  • Advises, coaches and counsels managers and employees on employee relations matters / investigations / conflict resolution
  • Possesses strong analytical skills to analyze workforce trends and develop appropriate datasets in partnership with the business and the larger HR team
  • Partners withotherHR leaders to ideate and improve key HR programs
  • Identifies and diagnoses issues proactively and develops, recommends and implements root cause solutions that enhance employee engagement/experience and business results in a timely manner
  • Acts as a role model and representative of Flatiron, both internally and externally, promoting high professional standards, positive interpersonal relationships and demonstrating Flatiron values at all times
  • Ability to manage highly confidential information
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of time

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degreerequired in Human Resources, Business or Related Field of Study
  • A minimum of 8years progressive HRexperience
  • A minimum of 5years in a generalist or HR Business Partner role
  • Experience working in the construction industry, preferred
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, preferred
  • 3+ years of leadership experience directly managing otherHR professionals, preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix, rapidly evolving environment
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize
  • Highly effective verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, communications and problem solving skills
  • Strong coaching and consulting skills with a proven track record in quickly gaining credibility and partnering collaboratively with business leaders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel30% of the time
  • Ability to relocate for career broadening/advancing opportunitie
