JOB SUMMARY


The Manager, HRBP typically partners with mid-level leaders of a sub-service line, centralized site, or one or more small or sub corporate departments. This position consults with HR SMEs to provide advice and guidance to their business partners on performance or other basic employee relations issues, conducts investigations and escalates appropriately to a more experienced HR leader, implements standard/annual HR programs and initiatives, and consistently applies policies and procedures across their area of responsibility.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as primary HR partner providing guidance on policies and procedures, employee performance, time and attendance deficiencies, and other employee matters that may interfere with meeting goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance to managers on process and procedures to ensure a thorough understanding of requirements for new hires, employee changes, and terminations. If remote, conduct new hire orientation and ensure all appropriate access and equipment requests are made timely to create a positive experience for the employee,
  • Provide ideas and/or recommendations for ways to foster improvement in employee productivity, performance and morale.
  • Act as point of contact within area of responsibility for implementation and follow-up on all HR programs and/or special projects.
  • Act as employee advocate as well as leader support utilizing a balance approach to ensure decisions made are in the best interest of the organization and its employees.
  • Ensure managers provide proper documentation on all performance evaluations, including improvement plans, and provide guidance on pay for performance during annual merit process.
  • Conduct investigations when necessary and consult with legal and/or more experienced HR to determine outcome

  • Strong computer skills (i.e.: MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years' experience in the Human Resources working with mid-level leaders
  • Strong background in employee relations a plus
