POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Manager assists in a variety of employee related issues and projects such as, training and development, performance management, hiring and recruiting, compensation, benefits, and payroll. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This position will work closely with executive management to execute strategic workforce planning and provide partnership and support to related functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ? Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the Human Resources department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
  • ? Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook on policies and procedures
  • ? Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel; conducts new hire orientations; monitors employee relations, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing
  • ? Maintains a detailed record of the turnover, and researches and formulates strategies which effectively aid in employee retention
  • ? Maintains compliance with federal, state, county, regulatory entities and other regulations of the United States concerning employment
  • ? Oversees compliance with Nevada Gaming Control Board regulations in regards to employee registration and reporting
  • ? Conducts investigations and provides recommendations based on findings including guidance in employee counseling and departmental policies and/or procedures
  • ? Determines employee performance appraisals and develops plans and strategies for employee retention
  • ? Maintains personnel records, acts as a point of contact for employees, and oversee employee engagement
  • ? Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs
  • ? Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations
  • ? Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ? Minimum 4+ years' experience in an HR generalist, management or business partner role
  • ?Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary degree
  • ? Employee relations, change management and team development experience
  • ? Knowledge of Federal and local employment laws
  • ? Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

  • ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ? Influencing skills and interfacing with senior members of the business
  • ? Experience in the Gaming industry preferred
  • ?HR certifications preferred
  • ? Detail-oriented and ability to maintain confidentiality
