This position will provide direction and leadership in all functional areas of Human Resources including staffing, training, and development, employee relations, labor relations, compliance, benefits, compensation, and performance management. The HR Manager will also provide interpretive advice on company policies while monitoring and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsible for working with managers and employees in coordinating employee and labor relations efforts. Works with senior leadership responsible for Labor Relations. Serve as a liaison to management on HR related issues such as talent and performance management, leadership development, workforce planning, labor & employee relations, training objectives, and compensation and benefits. Co-Manage NLRA, EEOC, ADAA. Provides advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding personnel practices, policy and employment laws. Fosters a cohesive working relationship with the local union and participates in committees as needed. Conducts inquiries and investigations, as required, and works closely with management. Administers and interprets labor agreement(s). Administers grievance procedures. Acts as a liaison between department managers and union representatives. Ensures compliance with all state and federal employment laws.
Perform various projects and other Human Resources employee-related activities, as required. Maintain knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures, laws and regulations, industry trends and developments to ensure accurate information is being communicated throughout the company. Act as a single point of contact to advise and counsel all levels of management on day-to-day Human Resources issues. Participate and represent the corporation in civic, industry, and professional organizations. Travelrequired approximately 10% of time.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have working knowledge of employment related laws to include NLRA, and compliance with government regulations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong computer skills with MSWindows, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook. Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
