Human Resources Learning & Development Specialist
The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for executing business unit learning and development initiatives including but not limited to: career management, change management, coaching, competency management, development, learning, mentoring, and/or performance management.
Successful incumbents possess business acumen skills, leadership skills, solid presentation skills, time management skills, good listening skills, organizational skills, functional/technical skills, can deal with paradox, have strong customer focus, have a drive for results, have organizational agility and can make quality decisions.
Analyze - Identify the learning problem, the goals and objectives, the audience's needs, existing knowledge, and any other relevant characteristics. Consider the learning environment, any constraints, the delivery options, and the timeline for the project. Provide a learning map or course specification worksheets.
iDesign - Provide detailed storyboards and prototypes; include the look and feel, graphic design, user-interface and other related content.
Develop - Create the content and learning materials based on the design efforts.
Implement - Put the plan into action. Develop the procedures for the learners and the instructors. Deliver or distribute the materials.
Evaluate - Conduct a summative evaluation of the developed materials and provide for opportunities for feedback from the users. Make revisions as necessary.
