Job Description

Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat Associates, PA (CEENTA), the region’s premier eye, ear, nose and throat care provider for adults and pediatric patients for more than 90 years is looking to add to their Human Resource team. We are currently looking for a Human Resource Generalist with a heavy background in recruiting and employee relations. The position is Full Time located in our main location in the South Park area of Charlotte, NC.

Summary of the position

The HR Generalist role will have a heavy focus on recruitment (75%) and employee relations (25%).  The HR Generalist will manage the full cycle recruitment of clinical, administrative and professional staff for CEENTA in North Carolina and South Carolina and will be responsible for partnering with business leaders to implement and drive recruitment strategies to meet current and future business needs.  The HR Generalist will also provide comprehensive HR support in the area of recruitment and retention of critical talent, continuous performance coaching and management, pro-active issue/problem identification and resolution, and coaching and development for more effective leadership decision and communication skills.  This role reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and Compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the full life cycle recruitment of clinical, administrative and professional staff for CEENTA.

Develop and maintain working relationships with hiring managers, physicians and business leaders as well as candidates and the community at large to advance the CEENTA mission and brand.

Determine appropriate recruiting sources and promotes the company brand to candidates and external service providers through various web enabled technology, universities, professional associations and the community. Partner for appropriate level sourcing support in hard to fill positions.

Actively recruit passive candidates.

Maintain all supporting records and data, including applicant flow statistics for EEOCreporting.

Provide accurate and timely reports and communication to management, hiring managers, business leaders, etc.

Assist the Director of Human Resources and Compliance in assessing the recruiting process, identify improvement opportunities and participate in improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance to Companies EEO and Affirmative Action programs in the recruiting process, and continuously educate the business units on these programs and other outreach resourcing programs as appropriate.

Ensures compliance with Companies policies & procedures, safety, state and federal laws, regulations and standards and educates the business on affirmative action goals and diversity resourcing as appropriate.

Ensure Company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout the area of responsibility.

Effectively communicate and execute necessary changes to policies and procedures.

Perform employee relations functions including support and counseling regarding personnel and job related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, review and assessment of termination requests.

Conduct employee related investigations as necessary.

Handle unemployment compensation response and hearings.

Conduct new hire and ongoing employee and supervisor training including policies and procedures and prevention of harassment and discrimination. 

Ensure timely and accurate entries to the HRIS database.

Maintain employee records in compliance with state and federal requirements.

Assist in the management and execution of bonus plans, merit processes, and routine/special request reports.

All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist with the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree. 

Minimum of 5 years of human resources experience, to include 3 or more years of professional full lifecycle recruiting experience.

Demonstrated ability to positively influence all organizational levels.

Experience, knowledge, and understanding of Human Resources functions, programs, and practices.

Knowledge in all components of full lifecycle recruiting including job description development, sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, phone screening, job analysis, wage and salary trends, relationship management and due diligence.

Experience in using applicant tracking /recruiting software system.

Experience interacting with senior level business executives, ability to translate business initiatives into Recruitment strategy and execution.

Strong communication, organization, analytical, and project management skills.

Ability to manage competing demands and accept constructive feedback while being extremely adaptable and flexible.

Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize own time.

Understanding the value of providing outstanding customer service.

Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field. 

Previous healthcare industry experiencepreferred.

Experience working with ADP and/or Luceo is a plus.
