The Director of HR is a key member of the leadership team and provides both tactical and strategic direction to ensure effective coordination and delivery of all human resource functions including recruiting, talent development, recognition and reward, organizational effectiveness, performance management, compliance, and creating and maintaining a positive employee relations environment. Reporting to the Vice President Human Resources, this is an exciting opportunity to collaborate as the HR business partner to the North America and Latin America operational leadership teams. What you’ll do:
- Collaborate and align with the Manufacturing VPs and the Senior Leadership to ensure People strategies and programs effectively meet their business goals
- Work collaboratively with corporate-based subject matter HR Teams to stay aligned and deliver HR services
- Serve as a member of the HR Leadership Team (HRLT) representing the point of view of manufacturing operations
- Develop and effectively deliver manufacturing HR strategy while measuring progress continuously
- Create, develop and maintain a high performing HR team that provides high-quality services in hiring, training, retention, talent acquisition succession and continuous improvement that meet the needs of manufacturing
- Support manufacturing leadership in succession management, performance and compensation, diversity and inclusion efforts
- Lead and counsel to drive continuous improvements in employee experience for manufacturing employees focused on employee engagement, improved supervisor/employee communications, employee training and development, policy and practice evaluation and working environment.
- Ensure consistency/alignment of people policies/practices across the manufacturing/distribution network
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of policies/ practices and make recommendations for improvements
- Promote and share best practices across the manufacturing/distribution network
- Develop and implement new and improved programs, processes and procedures that align with a committed focus on meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service
- Lead by example to promote and encourage employees to strongly commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree with ten (10) years of experience in HR
- Five (5) years of supervisory experience; manager of manager experience, preferred
- Five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing or equivalent environment
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate the effectiveness of established programs, transform HR programs/services and build high performing teams
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and develop and implement strategic initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others while being flexible and adaptable
- Considerable experience in lean management techniques and theory
- Considerable experience in delivering HR services such as employee relations, organizational development, performance management, compensation, talent acquisition, succession management, workforce planning, benefits and employee experience
- Considerable experience in strategic planning, project management, data and root cause analysis
- Considerable experience in developing and implementing policies and practices
