Human Resources Business Partner 

Omnicell is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team at our headquarters in Mt. View, CA.  The HRBP position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business functions. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues and the successful incumbent will act as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and communicates needs proactively with HR and business leaders seeking to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its culture and its competition.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing, customizing, implementing and administering HR programs
  • Oversees the day-to-day needs of client groups including all ER, policy interpretation and organizational effectiveness
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required
  • Develops and administers programs, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company
  • Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws
  • Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of morale and motivation
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Monitors and advises managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline and performance improvement process
  • Reviews, guides and approves management recommendations for employment terminations
  • Assists managers on various HR related projects such as performance reviews, merit and bonus process, updating job descriptions, benefits communication and enrollment, rewards and recognition programs
  • Develops strategy and content for Human Resources communications
  • Provides continuous process improvement, and suggestions to assist client groups in meeting departmental goals
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development)
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion; maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to effectively support diverse functional client groups including commercial and technical managers and employees
  • Strongly demonstrated persuasive and relationship-building skills
  • Proficient knowledge of employment law
  • Utilization of sound investigation, and reporting practices
  • Expert-level knowledge in at least one functional area of HR including ER, Compensation or Health & Welfare Benefits Administration
  • Experience using HRIS systems, running reports and maintaining data integrity
  • Strongly demonstrated organizational and project management skills; ability to multi-task
  • Excellently demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Seven plus (7+) years as an HRGeneralist/HR Business Partner with progressively responsible diversified experience in human resources including experience in a for profit multi-location business environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • Experience in health care technology and/or manufacturing environment
  • PHR/SPHR
