POSITION OVERVIEW

Alarm.com is looking for an exceptionalHR professional to serve as a consultant and partner to our teams. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the key HR point of contact for the Technology team 
  • Define, develop, and execute HR strategies in support of corporate and Technology team objectives
  • Lead, facilitate, and communicate organizational change initiatives
  • Identify and implement retention strategies & aid in culture building (Alarm.com has had very low attrition so these strategies are proactively aimed at continuing that trend!)
  • Conduct workforce analysis and build the talent strategy and succession planworking closely with Technology leadership
  • Build career pathing and competency models to be utilized in career development and performance management
  • Work closely with the department heads and team leads to support the training and development needs including identifying opportunities for growth and assisting with creating and executing programs to meet the outlined goals
  • Lead and enhance the performance development process including coaching managers on conducting effective performance reviews
  • Lead compensation reviews, merit increase process, annual bonus process, run benchmarking analysis and assist in developing company-wide compensation strategy
  • Counsel and advise employees, managers and leadership on employee relations matters, policies and performance 
  • Advise and direct on matters related to compliance and employment law
  • Increase usability and utilization of the Workday system within the Technology function to leverage the Talent Management and Performance Development modules
  • Work closely with the VP of Human Resources and the HR team on company-wide HR initiatives including HRIS enhancements, organizational effectiveness, benefits and compensation strategy and training and development  

REQUIREMENTS

  • 6+ years human resources generalist/HRBP experience including broad based HR skills in training and development, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, compliance, benefits, compensation, HRIS
  • Experience communicating across all corporate levels including interfacing with top execs (we are an open door culture)
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills (you will be embedded within the Technology team and we aren’t a culture of HR sitting behind closed doors)
  • Experience acting as the HRBP in technology companies, for technical clients or a genuine interest and passion for technology (you will be working with software, device and quality engineers so it will go far to understand their world)
  • Must be able to develop and execute HR programs and strategies with a degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation (this is an environment where HR has a lot of freedom to be creative – if you are highly focused on compliance and structure, this may not be the best match)
  • A very high degree of personal integrity and maturity including the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple processes and priorities at once (people who love it here are the types who wake up wanting to “attack work” and who have fun doing it)
  • Flexibility and willingness to scale from tactical to strategic with no ego (you will be part of a healthy, collaborative, fast talking and fast moving HR team)
  • Strong experience with (and interest in) coaching and developing employees and managers (we are a young company filled with sharp and eager employees who want to grow and advance)
  • Exceptional analytical abilities including utilizing data and metrics
  • Deep experience with HR systems including implementing, maintaining and optimizing; experience with Workday a plus
  • Bachelors Degree or higher required
  • PHR or SPHR strongly preferred
