Responsible for supervisory direction of regular compensation issues. Performs compensation analysis as well as salary administration. Insures wage and salary programs are coordinated. Prepares, submits and researches information for court orders submitted to commissioners' court.

JOB ESSENTIALS

  • Assist in providing leadership to the compensation division.
  • Perform job analysis and classification of positions.
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and administration of Dallas County's compensation programs, including planning, analysis, and monitoring; and conduct salary surveys.
  •  Plans and prioritizes both long and short-term projects for the compensation division.
  • Conduct job audits; research and analyze information and prepare reports explain findings and recommendations.
  • Identify and create new programs and strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the compensation division.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Human Resources, or in a job related field of study. Four (4) years of demonstrated progressive experience equivalent to Human Resources Analyst, Senior or Human Resources Officer. Considerable knowledge of personnel administration including job analysis, classification, job evaluation, and compensation. Ability to write reports, job descriptions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions, and resolve problems.
