Craft Cast Manufacturing Company is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality water and gas flow control products, casting and piping. Headquartered in Chesapeake VA , Craft Cast has set the standard for 40 years, with industry leading brands.
We are currently seeking candidates for our HR Manager at our Manufacturing location, Chesapeake, VA. Reporting to senior Human Resources executive, this position will provide HR leadership in the management of Plant Operations company-wide employee relations and talent management policies and practices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Working with Craft Cast functional and operational business leaders, and HR staff:
Responsible for Human Resource leadership across two operational manufacturing sites within the manufacturing Company
Provides leadership in including, talent management, talent acquisition, employee relations, employee training and leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, change management and process improvement
Ensures the development and implementation of effective human resource strategies and policies which help achieve business results as part of annual strategic planning. Initiates development of new policies or challenges existing ones to enhance effectiveness
Drives the people and organizational strategy directly and through HR staff to support VPs, Directors, Managers and front line employees. Partners with VP's/Directors to develop the next generation of leaders
Handles complex HR activities to include supporting and/or leading M&A activity, union negotiations, employee relations issues, large scale or complex company reorganizations, etc.
Incorporates the use of analytics to improve business decisions
May engage and work closely with peer levels in other specialist human resource functions (e.g. Compensation, Benefits, Employment Law, etc.) where needed to accomplish a specific business or organizational objective.
Ensures compliance with all appropriate HR statutes and regulations
Must be a proponent of inclusivity not just with clients but also with peers and the other human resources functions
May be involved in planning and implementing organizational and recruiting changes based on business conditions or resulting from mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and reductions in force. May also be involved in monitoring and evaluating post-implementation performance to ensure successful long-term outcomes
Develops and promotes feedback mechanisms for employees to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes
Maintains and shares knowledge of progressive HR practices, key trends and changes in employment laws and regulations
Requires an under-graduate degree in Human Resources, Business or related field. Advanced degreepreferred.
Minimum of 8years of related Human Resources experience preferably in a publicly traded, multi-unit manufacturing company
Minimum of 6years demonstrated employee and labor relations experience
Demonstrated experience leading major change initiatives with significant impact on the business
Demonstrated experience coaching and developing employee skills and abilities
Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws
Track record of a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, motivation and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives
Demonstrated ability to influence and deliver strong results in a matrixed, team environment
