ROLE of the POSITION
The Nevada Institute of Personalized Medicine (NIPM) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applicants for Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (Tenure-Track or Tenured).
This position may be in a variety of academic departments, including Community Health Sciences, Mathematics, Life Sciences, Nursing, Dental Medicine, or the School of Medicine. The institute will build excellence in personalized medicine to discover new applications of personalized medicine, and improve health services and outcomes. The institute has 5 core faculty and ~20 affiliate faculty at UNLV already working in these areas. We seek candidates with research interests, expertise and accomplishments in bioinformatics, genomics, human genetics, biostatistics, genome sequencing and/or genetic testing.
Assistant or Associate Professor (Tenure-Track): Applicants must have a PhD in Community Health Sciences, Mathematics, Life Sciences, Nursing, Dental Medicine, or the School of Medicine Applicants should also have a track record of publication, the ability to secure external funding, and the ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: data analytics in a health context; biostatistics; bioinformatics; genetics, and genomics is required. Applicants who can work in interdisciplinary teams are encouraged to apply.
Associate or Full Professor (Tenured): Applicants must have a PhD in Community Health Sciences, Mathematics, Life Sciences, Nursing, Dental Medicine, or the School of Medicine. Applicants should also have a track record of publication, an established externally funded research program, and the ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: data analytics in a health context; biostatistics; bioinformatics; genetics, and genomics. Applicants who can work in interdisciplinary teams are encouraged to apply.
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
