  • Work with world-class group of software engineers and scientists to design and implement cutting edge autonomous driving technologies
  • Track and apply the latest algorithm improvements from industry and the research community
  • Consult control logic engineers to ensure vehicle controls perform in a natural and intuitive way, comfortable for a human driver.
  • Work with company German HMI team, to transfer knowledge to US institute for global best practices
  • Develop HMI systems for Level 3 and Level 4+ autonomous vehicle systems
  • Analyze data to assess and improve system performance
  • Collaborate with the teams in localization, perception, prediction and path planning to optimize systems
  • Define early technical vision for respective subsystems
  • Be active in all stages of an agile software development lifecycle


  • BS/MS or PhD with at least 3 years of prior experience with human factors and human machine interface designs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of vehicle controls
  • Experienced developing control logic with Simulink and C-code
  • Prior experience in the automotive industry and autonomous driving is a strong plus
