Job Overview

The Sr. Business Analyst, HR Enterprise Solution Design Architect, is primarily responsible for the development of technology solutions that support business requirements. This includes partnering withHR leaders in Centers of Excellence and Business Units to understand requirements, mapping data flows among applications, developing a long-term HR technology integration strategy, and building a business case for the requisite technology solutions. Working with minimal supervision, this role is also responsible for driving process excellence and best practice project governance when overseeing deployment of technology solutions to the business. As required, this role will collaborate with IT or manage third-party technical resources to build and deploy the solution. This position is also responsible for ongoing HR application data management, including partnering with stakeholders and vendors on the resolution of issues and implementation of technology enhancements, fixes and upgrades. As needed, this role provides data management consulting or back-up support for HR cloud-based applications and associated partnering relationships.

  • Partner with internal customers to gather business requirements & develop technology solutions (tools) that best satisfy those requirements
  • Create a business case to support the proposed solution, including business risk assessments, return on investment, timelines and schedules
  • Ensure that the proposed solutions are directionally consistent with the HRTechnology road-map, strategy, and operating principles
  • Develop standard processes to provide Business Analystsupport for HR projects – responsible for developing and driving standard requirement gathering processes, testing processes and implementation methodologies
  • Partner with vendors to ensure effective utilization of technology and manage them as required to implement system enhancements, upgrades and fixes
  • Provide application support and back up support as needed for internal applications (i.e. PeopleSoft, Brass Ring, LMS, Performance Management, HR Portal) including but not limited to upgrades
  • Provide support to integrations with various third party vendors including but not limited to Payroll, Recruiting and Benefit vendors – conduct impact analysis on data flow and provide recommendation to the team.
  • Lead Data Governance team- oversee data definitions, impact analysis, data governance
  • Document application procedures and governance; Collaborate with functional owners on development of end user training materials; Participate in delivery of technology training
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues including interface issues
  • Lead an implementation team, composed ofinternal and external resources, in the development and delivery of complex, globalHRtechnology projects by employing project management methodology, including:
    • Delegating activities and tracking status against project plan(s)
    • Reviewing delegated results
    • Developing test plans and management of testing activities
    • Resolving issues and escalating as required
    • Reporting progress
    • Managing project spend and resource allocations
    • Employ Six Sigma tools, i.e. process maps, as appropriate


4 Year Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or Human Resources Management

Project Management Certification and/or Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus


    • 6-8 Years of experience in managing PeopleSoft HRMS system, including in-depth understanding of functional configuration, integration with third party systems, query report writing capability, testing and support
    • Experience with all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, support and documentation
    • Experience with translating functional requirements into technical specifications
    • Strong project management, problem solving and analytical skills
    • Knowledge of web applications
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite of products, with a high level of competency in MS Project, Excel, Access and Visio
    • Experience with benefit processes and technologies (including third party integration with various benefit providers) and payrollprocesses and technologies (including Payroll Interface, ADP payroll system and any other payroll technologies)
    • Experience with supporting the configuration of Talent Management Suite and integration of Core HR and Talent Management Suite is preferred
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively interact and influence individuals at all levels within the organization
