The HR Process Team Leader provides leadership and direction for end ­to ­end Human Relations processes, mainly for US & CA, and is responsible for initiating, executing and managing end­to­end process improvement initiatives in ContTech USA as part of HR Operations . This position works closely with the Business, Plants, Finance and GBS leadership, in addition to HR­IT, to drive process standardization and process excellence. In addition, this role is responsible for oversight of the US & CA Payroll operations and local plant time & attendance processing for the CT USA organization.

This position could be located in Fort Mill, SC, Auburn Hills, MI, Fairlawn, OH, or other Continental locations. Relocation is not required.

Essential Tasks:
Ensure on-time collection of time & attendance from plants and that all union and non-union requirements are met accordingly.
Ensure on-time and accurate running and related check-print and distribution of all gross-to-net payroll frequencies.
Ensure timely payment and filing of all federal, state, local and school taxes, including unemployment and garnishments and the running of year-end tax statements.
Ensure compliance requirements are met for all payroll related processes and all vendors are managed accordingly.
Focus on performance and continuous improvement of payroll related processes.
Define process improvements for HR Service Delivery including process design, spend management controls, technology enablement, functional & compliance requirements and global implementation support (for Workday specifically).
Recommend the prioritization of HRSD improvement initiatives impacting and requiring resources from GBS/Corporate/Division/IT/HR/Business Units.
Facilitate adherence to global process within local companies/customer organizations.
Focus on performance and continuous improvement of the HR business processes.
Facilitate across organizational units and geographies related to global processes.
Proactively engage to resolve disputes.
Act as relationship manager with business units and local companies for new requirements.
Ensure clear identification of roles and responsibilities within global processes.
Works one-on-one inside operations, HR and finance groups to deliver solutions and ensure customer/stakeholder participation.
Seeks out others within the organization to ensure their buy-in and alignment to process change.
Conduct regular service level agreement reviews for internal control and to identify opportunities.
Ensure clear definition and agreement of SLAs, KPIs and OLA's and adherence to targets for all portions of the end-to-end process.
Negotiate relevant portion of service level agreement, establishing customer/stakeholder and GBS performance requirements.
Monitor financial aspects of the relevant portions of the SLA, participating in issue resolution, root cause analysis and solution implementation.
Review and take corrective action on key performance metrics, plans and forecasts.
Ensure that policies and procedures (guidelines) for processes are followed according to business requirements.
Ensure compliance to process documentation; ensure documentation is current and accurate.
Ensure compliance to all legal and regulatory requirements for all portions of the end-to-end process
Integrate tools and IT standards.
Provide support and guidance in the ongoing training and development of HRSD resources within the GBS organization.
Provide support in training and competency/skills development within GBS and with local companies where local process has changed due to migration of work to GBS.
Job Requirements     Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree form a four year college or university, or minimum 10 years of equivalent experience in one or more of the following fields: HR, process, project management, and/or process improvement
5 years of experience in HR processes with increasing responsibilities and global experience
Minimum 5 years experience in US/CA Payroll source to gross and gross to net processing; including related tax processes
Experience with project management, process improvements, lean methodologies, compliance requirements, auditing.
Must have a solid understanding of overall HR Service Delivery and Payroll processes with in­depth experience in HR practices & processes and payroll regulations & processes in the US and CA.
Should have knowledge and experience interfacing with HR business partners and employees.
Strong knowledge and experience with Workday and STS Time & Attendance (or similar HR/Payroll/TK systems).
Demonstrated capabilities in both internal and external customer relationship management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Demonstrated capabilities in managing third party vendors.
Demonstrated capability with internal and external stakeholder management. Experience with internal stakeholders in defining HR/Payroll requirements and standards.
Demonstrated ability to lead others through influence and collaboration; ability to lead and manage large, complex, global processes and projects; ability to provide thought leadership in the HR value chain and implement efficiencies for increased productivity.
Position will require minimum 20% travel globally; Must have exposure/experience and a deep understanding and appreciation of cultural diversities.
