You will be responsible for leading and driving the people strategy for this ~$40 billion business unit to achieve business goals. You will be responsible for partnering to deliver on all aspects of the strategic people plan including; workforce & succession planning, performance management, organizational design, culture, employee engagement, leadership development, retention and compensation strategy. The ideal candidate will be able to build, own and implement strategic human resource plans.
The role will provide full scope HR leadership and support to the team of 130 employees in the US and Canada.
? Work with senior management to establish the strategic direction for the business and partner with the team to ensure effective execution.
? Upon thorough review and analysis of the business, explore opportunities to restructure or realign people assets.
? Bring a practical, "hands on" management style to NALH that includes timely decision making, operating rigor, strong execution, and a collaborative work ethic.
? Partner with NALH team to develop and execute HR strategies across the client population to align structure, culture and talent with business goals.
? Drive workforce-planning efforts in alignment with short and long-term business needs. Strong focus on attracting and retaining talent and succession planning.
? Develop solutions with the leadership team on organizational issues including organizational design and structure, organizational effectiveness, cultural assessment and gap analysis.
? Act as trusted adviser and thought partner to NALH leadership team on operational and strategic business issues.
? Coach and counsel senior leaders and managers through organizational changes, challenges and opportunities.
? Serve as the point of contact on fundamental HR topics, questions and issues for senior leaders and their teams.
? Work closely with the broader GE Capital and/or GE HR team to build/implement HR strategies and drive consistent HR practices in the business.
? Develop and implement learning plans for employees based on specific individual and organizational needs.
? Partner with other HR colleagues on engagement and culture activities.
? Collaborate with HR Business Partners & Employee Human Resources Managers to identify special projects and initiatives to support development of the team.
? Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
? Minimum of 7 years of experience in a variety of human resources positions, both staff and client based.
? Proven success in working in highly dynamic and matrixed organizations.
? Strong oral and written communication skills.
? Experience working with senior leadership teams in the business and human resources.
? Ability to work out of the Overland Park, KS office and travel ~15% + time.
? Master's Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources (MHR, MLIR, MBA)
? Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence in a functionalized, decentralized corporate structure.
? Able to assess culture and build actionable strategies to drive improvement.
? Experience in building and delivering HR deliverables to multi-site employee populations.
? Ability to facilitate senior leadership transitions and seamlessly integrate new leadership into the business.
? Experience in organizational design work and talent development efforts.
