Harmonic Inc has an excellent career opportunity for an HR Generalist to support a Director/HR Business Partner, North America and to directly support one or more key client groups. This position is responsible for providing generalist Human Resources support, with a strong focus on communications and project management, recruitment activities, on/off boarding activities, and day-to-day HR support requirements. Scope of responsibility will be both tactical and transactional, focused on supporting employees in North America.

Responsibilities

  • Be the point of contact for managers and employees in supported client groups for all HR-related matters; liaise with employees at all levels to address their needs, inquiries and issues, and escalate when appropriate
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to support the hiring demand of the organization with full lifecycle recruiting for all North America
  • Deliver new hire orientation as well as support onboarding activities and processes
  • Proactively support the delivery of HR initiatives and day-to-day HR support of PAN actions, offers, etc. for client groups
  • Provide internal and external compensation benchmarking data and recommendations
  • Contribute to the support and implementation of corporate-wide policies, procedures, systems and initiatives
  • Partner with HRBP and managers to effectively manage the annual performance review process
  • Maintain current knowledge base of legal and regulatory trends, in order to effectively counsel organization leaders and reduce potential business liabilities
  • Assist employees with day to day HR questions and requirements
  • When necessary, conduct investigations and provide recommendations for resolution
  • Participate in the development and communication of employee programs/initiatives that support the Company's growth initiatives and enhance Harmonic's culture
  • Conduct exit interviews for client groups
  • Drive improvements and promote best practices for people management

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Recruiting and Talent Management Experience Preferred
  • Experience with US employment visa cases
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field is required, preferably in Business Administration or Human Resources
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience with some experience with client management preferred
  • Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision
  • Understanding of HR-related processes and regulations
  • Attention to details and ability to maintain personal and confidential information
  • Excellent organizational skills desired
  • Experience with Jobvite, E-Verify, Radford and LinkedIn preferred
