The Head of Human Resources is responsible for developing and maintaining methods in which to create an engaged, coachable, dynamic workforce. This position provides overall strategic leadership to the company for HR initiatives including recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee training/development, plant safety, and labor/employee relations. This role reports to the Chief Administration Officer. The client does offer a relocation stipend for the right candidate.
? Responsible for recruiting top notch team members
? Maintains updated Job Descriptions for each position in the company
? Develops and oversees employee onboarding
? Develops, implements, and manages internal employee engagement initiatives including but not limited to the Health & Happiness Program, Joy Committee, WSS Green Initiative, Learn & Grow Initiative
? Manage and oversee Training & Development budget and plan: recommend training/development opportunities to managers and employees
? Responsible for implementing employee engagement tracking, surveys, and data collection/distribution
? Leads the implementation of organizational culture that drives innovation and employee engagement
? Ensure policies, procedures and HR programs are consistently administered, aligned with organizational goals and are compliant with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and employment laws.
? Organizes all employee functions
? Organizes all travel arrangements
? Understands each position in company and helps develop metrics for success in each, helping to coach and mentor with the help of employee manager.
? Understands all areas of the Employee Stock Ownership Plan and helps communicate the value to our owners via email communications, organizing ownership parties, etc
? Responsible for employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.
? Develops and maintains succession plan and assists in talent development
? Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
? Coaches performance and employee relations issues
? Filing Corporate Bylaws, Articles of Incorporation and Board Minutes
? Member of the ESOP Committee, filing the ESOP Census and processing distributions.
Required Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree and three to five years of HR experience, or a master's degree in HR management and two years of experience in the HR field.
