Job Description

Title: Human Resource Coordinator

Classification: Full-Time

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Position Summary: Provide general administration regarding benefits, payroll, compliance, and all other human resource functions.


  • Workforce Planning and Employment
  • Administering pre-employment tests
  • Maintain completion and compliance of all new hire paperwork and state reporting
  • Assisting with completing background investigations (DOT/Non-DOT)
  • Assist with completion of driving record checks on all new CDL drivers, and annually on existing CDL drivers, maintain employee files
  • Assist with completion and manage 3-year drug and alcohol history checks for new CDL drivers and 2-year history checks for PHMSA employees
  • Respond to 3-year FMCSA and 2-year PHMSA drug and alcohol history checks on previous employees
  • HR Development
  • Maintaining records of employee participation in all training and development programs
  • Develop a comprehensive reporting policy for workers compensation
  • Risk Management

o  Maintain OSHArequired Injury Illness Prevention Plan

  • Maintain DOT and non-DOT drug testing and employment verification. 
  • Maintaining accident records
  • Maintain employee and driverqualification files
  • Maintain and oversee workers compensationclaims

  • Maintains contact with project representatives and manage strict compliance with Wage & Hour, EEOC, FMLA, UC, WC, and ADA Rules and Regulations
  • Provide expertise for investigations of safety concerns and incidents, assist with corrective actions and follow-up mechanisms, and ensure communication of relevant information to management 
  • Understand, receive, and track drug and alcohol testing records, schedule tests, and order chain of custody forms, when necessary
  • Respond to unemployment compensationclaims and maintain a comprehensive program for employee tracking
