Job Description

HR Compensation Manager
The Compensation Manager is responsible for all aspects of Comerica's base salary compensation and corporate incentives for non-senior officers including designing, implementing and maintenance of programs. This role will research, analyze, evaluate and administer compensation and compensation programs to ensure Comerica retains a competitive compensation strategy which is equitable and responsive to the organizations goals, competitive practices and government regulations. In addition, this position is responsible for compensation administration to ensure colleagues are paid correctly and position data is accurate. Partners closely with Director of Incentive Compensation and Executive Compensation to provide a seamless experience for managers during the Q1 process.

Position Responsibilities:
-Partner with HRDs/HRCs as well as business lines to analyze, model and develop compensation strategies based on internal and external factors. This includes ad-hoc projects, market competitiveness, job evaluations, AEB design and administration, developing offers, re-organizations, evaluation of positions, officer titles, relative pay analysis, and FLSA status. Develop communication vehicles to ensure compensation programs are transparent to managers and participants.
-Participate in compensation surveys to ensure competitive pay practices are maintained. Identify strategic changes to compensation programs to further the organization and remain competitive. Analyze, revise, and maintain base pay salary structures, compensation practices and procedures for the organization.
-Maintain existing data and tools (i.e. job code tables, SharePoint, geographic differentials, etc.) to ensure data accuracy. Leverage HR technology to streamline processes and provide meaningful reporting and analysis to managers. Support organization redesign and ESC process.
-Administer the annual and mid-year compensation process including calculating salary pools/ranges, non-senior officer stock pools, preparing materials for managers, senior leadership and HR, and generating pay files for ADP. Support administration of the senior officer process.
-Managing the compensation team including training and developing talent.

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, HR or some other relevant business background.
-10 years experience working HR, Finance or equivalent business line function.
- 5 years experience acting in a consultative manner with business partners to influence change.
- 5 years experience managing multiple projects and/or working with outside vendors to manage programs.
- 5 years packaging and presentation experience (i.e. quantitative analysis to generate a solution or support a change, explaining programs, presenting materials to senior leadership for approval).
