The Warehousing and Distribution business unit is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) who will have responsibility for two locations – Vancouver, Canada and Sumner, WA – while based in Sumner. This candidate will be a subject matter expert and take the lead on providing coaching, guidance and solutions to business leaders on the full suite of generalist responsibilities. The ideal candidate is able to roll-up his/her sleeves and dig into details while capable of being actively involved and providing leadership in all priority areas of the HR agenda. The HRBP will be a single point of contact for hourly and professional colleagues at both locations for all HR related matters. As a member of the leadership team, the HRBP will be a credible, trusted advisor with integrity that leads by example, embodying the company values. Specific areas of focus include:

• Take the lead on driving the cultural transformation to include educating team members and leaders, facilitating team discussions, and ensuring accountability

• Prioritize the engagement agenda to include onboarding new leaders with the philosophy, coaching managers through action plans and assessing change

• Train and coach front line managers on how to address and manage employee relations concerns; Have personal involvement and oversight on significant concerns A high-energy professional, with a passion for HR and the following:

• 5-7 years of HR generalist experience in multiple areas (employee relations, recruitment, etc.)

• Ability to travel 30-50% annually between site locations

• Prior experience in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse or shop floor work environment

• Prior experience working with unions, negotiating agreements and contracts

• Prior experience working with both US and Canada labor laws

• Skilled at facilitating discussions with conflicting parties

• Excellent communication skills appropriate at all levels of the organization

• Skilled at stakeholder management, particularly in a cross functional and matrixed environment

• Leader with demonstrated success of quickly establishing relationships with the business, building trust and influencing change
