Overview & Responsibilities
An HR Analytics Specialist develops solutions to impactful business problems in the form of simple, actionable insights. This involves consulting with global HR leaders to determine what problem they’re really trying to solve, figuring out how data can help solve it, and how the data should be presented to effectively communicate the solution.
Ability to frame unstructured business problems in simple analytical terms.
Ability to solve a problem from beginning to end: diagnosis, data gathering, data cleaning, analysis, visualization, presentation.
Understanding that the purpose of analytics is to drive action.
Ability to explain complex analytical concepts to non-analytical audiences.
Strong business acumen.
Expert stakeholder management skills with 5+ years of experience working with executive customers.
Strong analytical expertise with 5+ years of experience in a role requiring data analysis, data science, or statistical analysis. Skills should include
Must-have: regression, significance testing, metrics design
Nice-to-have: predictive models, statistical models, Monte-Carlo simulations, cluster analysis, principal component analysis, decision trees, survival analysis, network analysis
Advanced skills in some common analytical tools:
Nice-to-have: R, Python, SQL, SAS, SPSS, Workday, iCIMS, Cornerstone
Reports to Manager of HR Analytics and works under moderate-to-light supervision
Education: Bachelor’s degreerequired
5+ years data analysis experiencerequired
5+ years of working with executive audiences (Director and above)
Although focused predominately on analysis, some reporting will be required
Previous HR experience not required
