Position:
The Sales Representatives’ role will be generating sales of pediatric pharmaceutical products within an assigned geographic region. Measurement of success will be the ability to demonstrate product prescription and unit growth over a defined time period. The territory for this position includes Virginia, Metro-DC, and Maryland.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
- Develop and execute a strategic business plan for a geographical area
- Effectively target, penetrate and establish a network of relationships within the Children’s hospitals with key decision makers and stakeholders
- Effectively call on the following Pediatric subspecialties: Cardiology, Nephrology, Rheumatology, and Hematology/Oncology (physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, etc.)
- Effectively call on retail pharmacies, both chain and independent
- Utilize data sources to maximize strategies and efficiencies to capitalize on opportunities with the greatest ROI
- Attain and/or exceeding assigned sales and profit goal
- Manage and track territory specific information through a CRM system
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Successful Pharmaceutical or Healthcare Industry sales experience, at least 2 years
- Physician and Hospital based selling experience
- Demonstrated growth in sales while managing your own territory
- Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Business acumen and comprehension of clinical information.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Travel 50% of time, overnights are required (Depending on Geography)
