Hospital Business Development Account Manager

Work from Home - MA

Sony Electronics Inc. has an excellent career opportunity available for an experienced Hospital Business Development Manager within Professional Solutions of America. The Hospital Business Development Manager will report to the National Sales Manager and will be responsible for executing the company’s strategic sales plan (with a primary focus on OR AV/IT solutions) within an assigned territory. The preferred location is in the Boston area. In this position, the responsibilities will involve identifying and developing new business opportunity directly with hospitals or through channel partners, building strong business relationships with key Surgeons, OR Managers, Procurement leads & where appropriate, hospital management, and identifying new and innovative Sony Solutions for the OR especially related to improving video routing and management. Additionally, the Hospital Business Development Manager will be actively participating in company trade shows, seminars, symposiums, and conferences, as needed.

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required or equivalent
  • Must have 5 to 7 years of related sales experience in selling med tech equipment or video solutions in the OR.
  • Have experience in an OR environment and has registered before in a vendor credentialing service
  • Existing strong customer relationships in the above mentioned applications is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of audio visual and IT technology
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve assigned sales quota
  • Solid business planning skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and professional presentation skills
  • Must be able to travel 80% of the time
  • At a minimum, must have intermediate level skills in Microsoft, excel PowerPoint and Outlook. Salesforce.com experience is preferred.
