The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and maximization of Home Office reimbursement to all UC Hospital entities. Requires a deep understanding of the Medicare cost reporting process, financial modeling and general accounting principles. Develops cost-effective methodologies to facilitate the compilation, review and filing of reimbursement cost reports for all UC Medical Centers. Incumbent reports to the UCI Director of Reimbursement with dotted line responsibility to all UC Medical Center Directors of Reimbursement.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent education and experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word
Evidence of sound critical thinking skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Experience working with large databases
Minimum of 7 years of Medicare Home Office cost statement and Cost report preparation and auditexperience
Must be fluent with Medicare/Medicaid regulations
Must be fluent with industry technology/tools (Outlook, home office cost statement software, accounting/ledger, etc).
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Strong technical knowledge and skills in financial analysis
