DESCRIPTION

The Roadway Design Engineer will provide project active leadership for the successful delivery of roadway projects within our Norcross, GA office. We are looking for a candidate possessing strong verbal and written skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to lead design efforts on transportation projects. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated success in the delivery of roadway projects. Specific leadership characteristics will include:

Desire to be responsible for developing design plans, calculations, variances and exceptions, cost estimates, and final bid packages
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage the design of specific roadway tasks
Willingness to help create and foster a team environment
Assistance in marketing pursuits by developing concepts, and providing technical support on statements of qualifications
Experience with GDOT on traditional design bid-build projects and/or design-build highway projects

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

8+ years of related experience
BSCE in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer in Georgia
Proficient with Bentley MicroStation and InRoads and/or OpenRoads
Experience with GDOT on roadway projects
Experience producing drainage designs for urban and rural projects
Experience with 3D Modeling, AutoTURN and Post Construction Stormwater Reports is a plus
