Hematologic Malignancies and Stem Cell Transplant Institute Director Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) is seeking anexperienced BC/BE Hematologist to lead multi-disciplinary specialized care for patients with all types of blood cancers including leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, myelodysplasia and aplastic anemia at all five CTCA sites. This position will also include hematopoietic stem cell transplant for adults, innovative clinical researchtrials and implementation of novel therapeutic strategies. CTCA is a single-specialty, tertiary hospital system providing a comprehensive, fully integrative approach to cancer care. Our hematologic oncologists have thesupport of advanced practitioners, a social worker, a transplant coordinator, anurse navigator, and specialized inpatient/outpatient nursing with access to an onsite infusion center, blood bank, and stem cell lab. Responsibilities include coverage of an inpatient unit and consultation on admitted hematologic malignancy patients.
There are opportunities forclinical trials. The ideal candidate will haveexperience with the care of autologous and allogeneic transplant patients, cryopreservation and apheresis knowledge. An academic background and publications in the field of hematologic malignancies is alsorequired. Candidates must have the followingqualifications:
- Specialty training in stem cell transplantation
- Experience with stem cell processing, apheresis, treatment of acute leukemia
- Experience seeking FACT accreditation
