Hedge Fund Director of Information Security
A Leading Fund of Fund in Manhattan is seeking a full-time, permanent, Director of Information Security:
This position will be based in New York and will provide support to the Firm's New York, London, Munich and Philippines offices. The individual will report directly to the Firm's Chief Technology Officer, and will liaise with members of the Firm's other functional teams ? Investments, Risk and Operations, Finance, Client Service and Investment Advisory. The individual will also interact with internal technology engineers, developers, and outside solutions vendors.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience with exposure to all aspects of information security? able to be and stay up to date with security best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage security-related projects involving internal engineers, external technology vendors, and end users.
- Bachelor's Degree from a top-tier university.
- Certifications in one or more of the following: Information Security Management System Lead Auditor ISO-27001, Certified ISO/IEC27001 Lead Implementer, Information Security Management System Lead Auditor ISO-2700, Certified Information Systems Auditor and Certified Information Security Manager, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional
To succeed in this role you must:
? Be a hands-on project leader with the ability to manage cross-functional teams delivering to agreed milestones.
? Take ownership of information security including maintaining a list of known gaps and driving closure, routine and ad-hoc monitoring of user behavior, identifying potential issues, and drafting and syndicating end user security training materials.
? Be current on developments in information security tools, processes and controls, and how/whether they can be leveraged to best secure the information assets of the Firm's business and functions.
? Be detail oriented, highly organized and have the ability to communicate effectively with investment and technology professionals at various levels of seniority.
? Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop solid relationships with internal stakeholders at both MIO and Firm to share knowledge and build consensus around proposed security policies and standards.
? Carry yourself with the highest level of integrity, discretion and maturity.
