The health and welfare coordinator assists in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of BayCare's Choice Benefits while utilizing BayCare's benefit philosophy and ensuring compliance with ERISA, COBRA and HIPAA. Additional responsibilities include analyzing plan financial data to assist in forecasting expenses and identifying areas of opportunities within the plan. Also responsible for conducting audits on various financial liabilities and ACA reporting requirements. Acts as a liaison between Benefits Department and vendors. Assists in the development and updating of all team member benefits communication. Assist manager in running day to day operations of the department. Performs other duties as assigned. This position is necessary to conduct the activities of the BayCare Health System Medical Plan and is therefore considered to be part of the Health Plan for HIPAA purposes.

Required Specific Skills also includes: Knowledge of healthcare financial trends and analysis techniques; Analyze and interpret health care data including claims data, encounter data and financial reports. #LI-GP1
