Team Member Philanthropy
Team Member Philanthropy manages enterprise-wide strategies and programs supporting community involvement and workplace giving campaigns that provide opportunities for team members to make a meaningful, positive effect in their communities. This is accomplished through a broad set of giving and volunteer programs from the Community Support Campaign to the WE Care Fund to the Volunteer Leave Program, from Reading First to the Educational Matching Gifts program. The annual Community Support Campaign enables team members to give and volunteer to organizations and causes important to them and the company. This giving has resulted in United Way Worldwide naming Wells Fargo's workplace giving campaign No. 1 in the U.S. for eight consecutive year.
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Diversity & Inclusion and Strategic Philanthropy, the Head of Team Member Philanthropy (TMP) will lead a team and programs that are responsible for the strategy and delivery of Wells Fargo's Community Support Campaign, global volunteerism, team member directed giving, volunteer recognition and metrics and reporting throughout our global footprint. In partnership with key Lines of Business and functional partners, this role will evaluate the current TMP program, team member involvement and delivery strategies in the context of the competitive landscape as well as Wells Fargo’s focused corporate citizenship strategy.
This position will lead the effort to clearly articulate the go forward strategy for TMP, inclusive of program design, global involvement and giving, enhanced tools and resources, thought leadership, metrics and reporting, along with key partnerships – both internal and external to ensure impact and success. The position will work collaboratively with key stakeholders – Wells Fargo Foundation, Human Resources, Community Relations, Team Member Networks, Hands on Banking, Environmental Affairs, line of business leaders and market leaders to achieve goals and objectives set forward in the strategy.
This leader will also play a leadership role in managing team member volunteer programs including directed giving, skills-based volunteerism, market-place match, local board service, recognition, grant making, team member outreach and other related community initiatives and partnerships. He or she will also ensure efficient and effective overarching internal processes for the promotion of team member involvement/volunteerism to enhance the company's brand and reputation with overall responsibility for providing direct support to senior leadership and leadership teams, operating in a highly visible role both internally and externally.
This leader will create and drive the overall strategy and execution for Wells Fargo’s long-standing commitment to supporting our team members, customers and communities by offering a transformational team member philanthropy experience.
Preferred locations include Charlotte, NC and San Francisco, CA. Other major WF hubs may be considered.

- 5+ years of management experience

- 5+ years of successful corporate team member philanthropy program design and management
- 5+ years of successful experience performing a strategic leadership function that includes a combination of any of the following areas: strategic planning, change management, marketing, diversity and inclusion, human resources, organizational development and consulting and leading a revenue generating line of business
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-business role with many stakeholders and partners at various levels within the organization
- Proven history as a results oriented and resourceful leader, capable of quickly taking control of responsibilities and establishing oneself as a credible strategic partner
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals to enroll stakeholders, peers, and management
- Influence and collaboration skills to achieve solutions that meet the needs of the organization; able to resolve issues, and overcome obstacles
- Experienced strategic program management in a shared services, highly matrixed organization
- Experience in effectively navigating and influencing a large and complex organization
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-business role with many stakeholders and partners at all levels of leadership
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy and improvement opportunities
