Job Description

The Head of Sponsorship Sales will lead and support sales efforts for Condé Nast’s Tentpole Editorial Events including Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party, Wired 25, Vogue Met Gala, Glamour’s Woman of the Year, Bon Appétit Vegas Uncork’d, Pitchfork Music Festival and many more. This person will be an integral team member in generating sponsorship revenue for the Company - reporting directly to the SVP, Enterprise Sales. The right candidate will have proven success in sponsorship and/or media sales, relationships with key clients nationally, and the ability to create new relationships among buyers.

Required Skills

  • Meet & exceed quarterly sponsorship goals through long-term, strategic partnership deals

  • Function as a growth-focused leader with a strong ability to inspire, align and deploy the right mix and level of skills to develop, implement and optimize sponsorship programs that deliver client solutions profitably

  • Work closely with and provide support for the larger sales organization to help sell tentpole events & custom events to existing clients and top 100 accounts

  • Develop a complete, comprehensive targeted list of companies/organizations to identify client challenges and translate them into opportunities to sell Condé Nast solutions

  • Maintain current knowledge of sponsorship industry landscape, market trends, key category activity across music, sports & entertainment

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

  • Minimum 6 - 8 years of sponsorship sales experience for event, music, sports, lifestyle properties or similar position with a focus on brand sponsorships and activation

  • Proven understanding of the full sponsorship sales lifecycle and a track record of sponsorship and media sales with strong focus on developing integrated corporate partnerships

  • Must possess a significant number of established senior relationships with clients, as well as sponsorship and activation agencies

  • Solution oriented, highly motivated and proactive self-starter who works well as both team member and individual contributor

  • Outstanding organizational skills, ability to follow through, and capable of meeting deadlines while balancing multiple projects and priorities

  • Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills
