The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with strong day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

As Head of Sales Capabilities, you will lead a team passionate about people and their growth, and develop a vision to ensure Google Marketing Solutions (GMS) is on the cutting edge of the development of our people and their capabilities. You will be a thought leader on transforming seller capabilities and developing people strategies to strengthen GMS’ foundations for the future. Additionally, you will develop strategies and plans to achieve your vision, activating throughout the GMS organization. You will interface with leadership within GMS as well as critical partner teams such as HR, Staffing, Sales Mastery, Learning and Development (L&D) in order to activate your vision. Lastly, you will provide support to our mission to advance cross-GMS strategy, capabilities, and operations for the future.

  • Create global vision, strategy, and plans for improving organizational effectiveness and productivity.
  • Build effective relationships and engage with GMS leadership to stay current on needs and opportunities.
  • Execute and iterate on plans in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Monitor, analyse and advise on people issues related to productivity.
  • Manage a team of program managers supporting this work.
