Develop and monitor all aspects of personal lines property and casualty insurance product line including analyzing new business, assessing cost of running business relative to premiums, comparing rate to marketplace for competitiveness, analyzing claims frequency and severity, reviewing and approving all suggested changes to product features, conducting market analysis, providing input to pricing strategies, reviewing vendor and partner programs, and similar.

 

*** Create product strategy supported by an integrated operational plan.

 

*** Monitor and analyze current performance, competitive positioning, rate setting, risk exposure, underwriting regulatory requirements, and recommend responses to changing conditions.

 

*** Collaborate with Pricing, Underwriting, Sales, Claims and Operations to facilitate review of product line profitability.

 

*** Identify potentially unprofitable practices, introduce product enhancements, and manage new product development processes.

 

*** Manage budget for areas of responsibility and identify & solve potential challenges and opportunities.

 

*** Ensure effective controls are in place to proactively manage risk.

 

*** Serve as subject matter expert on insurance principals and procedures, rating methodologies, state insurance regulation, and filing requirements.
