Position Description:

Location: Houston, San Francisco and New Jersey
Reporting directly to the global head of IT Vendor Management, you will be part of the executive team that will build a world class vendor management organization (VMO).  You will have direct responsibility for creating and managing the governance process to manage our key strategic vendors of IT infrastructure, IT Professional Services, and Outsourcing services.  You will be working closely with all stakeholders to build and run governance forums, implement and manage needed structure and process, and provide direction to ensure the governance manages supplier risk, supplier performance, and strategic guidance. The position requires a team player who can work effectively with the multiple functional heads of the IT Organization as well as related key stakeholders, such as sourcing, legal, and risk.  You will establish and manage a governance program that will provide clear direction on managing issues, disputes, risk management, performance review/management, and strategy development. 

Position Requirements:
• Clearly define engagement processes and governance to ensure success of IT vendor management programs
• Formulate governing policies and the creation of robust roles and responsibilities and organizational structures, including escalation management for dispute/issue resolution
• Establish the rules of engagement, guidelines and principles by which actions can be taken to ensure well-defined governance and processes.
• Requires years of domain experience in one or more of the following infrastructure towers of services; software, hardware, network/telecom, storage/hosting, and outsourcing/offshore IT professional services, preferably for a $1BN+ infrastructure organization
• Requires experience managing negotiations with key vendors of the infrastructure towers of service
• Must have proven ability of setting up and coordinating a vendor management governance program
• Adept at scheduling and coordination of many stakeholders
• Requires capability to read and understand large, complex infrastructure contracts and manage the relationship in accordance to the terms of agreement
• Ensures governance is followed and documentation is archived in VM designated repository
• Scorecard and metrics creation experience which manage vendor performance
• Will keep governance minutes and action logs
• Will track and report actions progress and/or escalate issues to drive timely closures
• Be able to summarize governance progress for senior management reporting
• Must be able to synthesize governance content to inform senior management of summary progress as well as inform strategy development
• Need to be able to analyze spend and related service delivery data
• Proficient in MS office, including powerpoint presentations and data pivots
• Must maintain a positive, partnering type approach with all stakeholders
• Must have excellent oral and written communication and listening skills
